Estrogen dominance can contribute to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in various ways. One theory is best summarized as a vicious cycle that is sent into motion by stress. Stress can cause estrogen to become the dominance hormone i the bodily by depleting progesterone levels. The resulting situation of estrogen dominance then leads to additional stress caused by the consequential copper and zinc imbalance.

An imbalance of copper and zinc can contribute to moodiness, irritability, and depression. All very fatiguing emotions. According to Dr. John Lee M.D., “A women who has been cauaght in this type of cyle for a few years will eventually find herself in a constant state of “wired but tired, ” which will eventually result in dysfunctional adreanal glands, blood sugar imbalances, and debilitating fatigue that may be diagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.”
